Groove Kilombo is a party concept by DJ Mukambo to make y'all dance to the best Afro-grooves, Latin vibes & global beats. It started in March 2018 in Brussels. A quilombo was a refuge for freed slaves in colonial Brazil. It stands for struggle and resistance.

Our Groove Kilombo is a place where everybody can come together and dance to the better global grooves, far away for the dictates of commercial music & the usual house/techno/disco parties. In our Kilombo, you'll groove to afrobeat, ethiogrooves, Afro-Latin & Afro-Brazilian, Lus-African grooves, soukouss, arabesque, reggae/dub/dancehall, hip-hop & tropical bass with an ethnic/regional flavour.

The idea is to bring people together, ALL PEOPLE, to dance and have a good time. Come and free yourself from borders, prejudice, race & gender issues.

These parties are on hold for the moment as the nice alternative clubs/venues in Brussels have been closing down or have been taken over by more commercial organizations.
